Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

The carpal tunnel is the narrow passageway in the wrist, formed by small wrist bones called carpal bones. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common condition that occurs when one of the major nerves to the hand is squeezed as it travels through the wrist. This condition gets worse with time, so early diagnosis is important. If nerve pressure continues untreated, it can lead to nerve damage and worsening symptoms. This condition is heredity or can also occur due to repetitive hand use, hand/wrist positioning, pregnancy and health conditions.
