What is Robot-Assisted Surgery?
The da Vinci® Surgical System helps surgeons perform minimally invasive surgery. This type of surgery uses smaller surgical cuts. It typically has a faster recovery and fewer risks than traditional surgery.
For robot-assisted surgery, a surgeon uses a camera to see a 3D high-definition view inside your chest. The surgeon controls the device’s tools with a console and uses them to perform the surgery. This helps surgeons be more precise and gives them a greater range of motion.
