5.0 star star star star starDr. Khan took time to listen and fully understand my history, then performed a thorough exam. He noticed and addressed my condition from a different perspective than previous drs and I think he is on target with diagnosing. He offered a reasonable plan of care and provided good patient teaching. He was friendly and caring.

5.0 star star star star starI had been warned that doctors specializing in pain management could be less than patient-friendly and would not always listen or explain well. I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised by all of my interactions with Dr. Khan. He answers all of my questions fully and shows me my scans while we're talking. He adjusts his language appropriately so I understand what he's describing without feeling confused or talked down to. During my procedure in April, Dr. Khan explained every step of the process and what I would experience physically, which helped tremendously. I felt more relaxed and the experience was a good one. I'm very glad to have found Dr. Khan to help me manage what will likely be an ongoing condition.

5.0 star star star star starThe attention to patient needs and concerns. Physicians were very engaging and took time to explain digital imaging, were concerned with what my issues were and even took time to provide explanation behind my options moving forward. Very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease and comfortable with treatment plan.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
