Cardiologist Named Medical Director of Northwestern Medicine Glenview Outpatient Center

Cardiologist Micah J. Eimer, MDCardiologist Micah J. Eimer, MD, has been named medical director of Northwestern Medicine’s® newest north suburban clinic, the Glenview Outpatient Center, which officially opened March 1. Eimer joins the medical staff of the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital and will see outpatients primarily in Glenview and also in Lake Forest.

“We are pleased to add the exceptional clinical skills of Dr. Eimer to our cardiology team,” said Ian D. Cohen, MD, FACC, FSCAI, medical director of cardiac services for the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute at Northwestern Lake Forest. “In leading the medical staff of the new Glenview Outpatient Center, Dr. Eimer will bring the exceptional care of the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute closer to home for many of our patients in the north suburbs.”
Northwestern’s Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute is ranked by U.S. News and World Report as the best cardiology and heart surgery program in Illinois and the 17th best program nationwide. The cardiology program at the new Glenview Outpatient Center is one of a number of specialties, including dermatology, gastroenterology, general surgery, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, optometry, orthopaedics, otolaryngology, sports medicine and urology. Primary care services include internal medicine and pediatrics, along with on-site laboratory, cardiac imaging and x-ray services. The Glenview Outpatient Center will include an Immediate Care Center to open in May, along with advanced imaging services like MRI and CT scanning that will be available by summer 2013.
