Dining Event to Benefit Stroke Research

Northwestern Medicine staff attend benefit for stroke researchIn partnership with The Auxiliary Board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago magazine will bring together the city’s top restaurants and chefs at Chicago’s Table on Friday, October 26, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the River East Art Center, 435 E. Illinois Street in Chicago. A portion of the event proceeds will support research and therapies for stroke patients at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Tickets to the event are $125 and can be purchased in advance online.* 

Chicago’s Table will be an evening filled with delicious food and perfectly paired cocktails. Featured restaurants include:

In 2012, U.S. News & World Report ranked Northwestern Memorial’s neurology and neurological surgery programs 11th nationwide. The Auxiliary Board has pledged its support to an innovative research study exploring how, why, and when bleeding in the brain results in ischemic stroke, or loss of blood flow to a part of the brain. Researchers are working to identify effective treatment options for this type of stroke in order to prevent serious complications in patients’ physical health and quality of life.
