“It’s wonderful to see so many people come together to support us as we strive to learn more and better treat brain tumors,” said James Chandler, MD, co-director of NBTI, surgical director of neuro-oncology at Northwestern Memorial and associate professor of neurological surgery at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. “Our goal at Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute is to provide patients with the best options to treat their cancer in a manner that not only gives them longer lives, but also improved quality of life. We couldn’t succeed in this mission without the many people who have so generously supported Minds Matter over the last four years.”
Funds raised at Minds Matter will help advance research and support medical training, patient care, and outreach activities of the institute. “We are incredibly grateful for the generosity and support that Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute continues to receive year after year,” said Jeffrey Raizer, MD, co-director of NBTI, medical director of neuro-oncology at Northwestern Memorial, and associate professor of neurology at the Feinberg School. “This event not only helps support life saving research that can improve patient care, but it also shines a spotlight on brain tumors and those who are impacted by the disease. It’s a wonderful opportunity to show support for our patients and their families, as well as our dedicated team of scientists, physicians, surgeons, researchers, nurses, and social workers.”
