New Northwestern Medicine Immediate Care Center Opens in Vernon Hills
“We are excited to continue to expand access to Northwestern Medicine’s care to our patients in the northern suburbs by opening this new comprehensive center in Vernon Hills,” said Thomas J. McAfee, president of Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital. “The Vernon Hills center not only offers treatment of minor emergencies in an immediate care setting but also primary and family medicine care at a convenient location close to where our patients work and live.”
The Vernon Hills Immediate Care Center, located at 870 N. Milwaukee Ave., is staffed by licensed physicians and emergency medical technicians who are trained to evaluate and treat a variety of medical conditions in both adults and children over the age of 6 weeks. All patients are seen by a physician, providing patients the opportunity to be treated by a physician during the hours their regular primary care physician’s office may be closed.
The center also offers primary care and imaging services Monday through Saturday, starting at 8 a.m. and onsite breast imaging and mammography with tomosynthesis (3D), computer tomography (CT), X-Ray, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) ultrasound and more.
Providers at the Vernon Hills center include:
- Eliza Grant, NP, APN
- Holly Casey, MSRD
