Northwestern Medicine Neurology and Neurosurgery Clinic Relocates to Lavin Family Pavilion
In a growing effort to provide better access to services and quality care, the Neurology and Neurosurgery Clinic at Northwestern Memorial Hospital is relocating today from the Galter Pavilion to a larger space on the 19th floor of the Lavin Family Pavilion, just one block southeast from the current location. The new outpatient clinic, located at 259 East Erie Street, will be renamed the Regenstein Center for Neurological Care at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
The state-of-the-art clinic comprises approximately 25,770 square feet and includes 46 exam rooms, 8 infusion bays and new medical imaging technology to help offer physicians interoperable images for better treatment decisions for their patients.
"The new clinic was carefully considered with the patient in mind to provide efficiency and better care quality,” said Michael Doyle, MBA, director of operations for neurosurgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. “Now patients can see their physician, pick up their medication, receive diagnostic testing and get lab results all under one roof.
"The hope is to streamline the process in an effort to prioritize patient comfort and save time for the over 13,000 patient appointments we serve in the clinic annually,” said Anny Sandoval, MBA, BSN, director of operations for neurology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
The Lavin Family Pavilion is a 25-story outpatient building that is home to physician offices, clinical areas, an expanded diagnostic and digital imaging center and retail and dining options including LYFE Kitchen, Stan’s Donuts, Au Bon Pain, Vision Care Center, Gateway Newsstand and Walgreens® Pharmacy.
The new clinic location includes seven floors of enclosed patient and visitor parking, off-street valet parking and a patient pick-up and drop-off area located in the covered drive-through accessible from Ontario or Erie Streets.
