The Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute Announces 2015 Minds Matter Gala
Northwestern MedicineNews August 12, 2014
To raise money for brain tumor research, more than 60 people either jealously watched from sidelines or took a spin themselves in some of the fastest and nicest cars on the road at the Autobahn Country Club. These drivers tried out some of the newest Porsches – some were only three days old – at the racetrack in Joliet, Ill. The event raised money for the Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute (NBTI) and for the 2015 Minds Matter gala, which raises money to advance research and support medical training, patient care, and outreach activities of the institute.
The NBTI will host their sixth Minds Matter fundraiser at the Chicago Hilton on May 1, 2015. Through the years, the event has raised millions of dollars for brain and spine tumor research and patient care.
The NBTI is a comprehensive program which merges clinical research with medical and surgical treatment for brain and spinal tumor patients. The Institute offers state-of-the-art clinical care while also providing the resources and support necessary for patients and their families to meet the challenges of living with a brain tumor. The institute is a collaboration between Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
