Celebrate the Season of Giving with Shopping for All
Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital November 09, 2009
LAKE FOREST, IL – As the season turns, cozy up in the historic comfort of Deer Path Inn and discover unique gifts at the annual Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital Holiday Boutique. All proceeds will benefit the Women’s Auxiliary Board of Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital and its mission to provide our community with the highest quality health care.
The Deer Path Inn, 255 E. Illinois in Lake Forest, will play gracious host to the event once again. Come join the fun:
- Thursday, November 19 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Friday, November 20 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, November 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Pat Carollo and Marianne Stride are chairing this year’s boutique. Carollo says the Women’s Board is particularly excited about this year’s event. “We made a special effort to invite a wide array of vendors from a variety of price points. There’s a gift for everyone at this boutique. And through their purchases, shoppers help Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital.”
More than 30 exceptional vendors from around the country are participating this year. That includes 13 vendors who are new to the holiday boutique. The vendors will feature holiday and home décor, designer jewelry, specialty foods, and unique gifts and apparel for men, women and children.
This year, boutique shoppers will have a special opportunity to contribute to the hospital’s pediatric care. All who donate to the cause will receive an ornament to put on the first-ever boutique “pediatric giving tree.” Donations will go toward new toys and games for the pediatric playroom, delivering fun to pediatric patients that will last beyond the holiday season.
The Women’s Auxiliary Board was founded in 1942 and currently has 120 members. The board’s mission is to support the hospital through fundraising, volunteerism, education and advocacy.
