Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital's Acquisition of Gurnee Radiology Centers Expands Imaging Network

Network now includes eight locations in Lake and northern Cook counties
LAKE FOREST, IL – Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital announced today that it now operates an expansive imaging network in Lake and northern Cook counties with eight convenient locations. The hospital acquired three facilities operated by Gurnee Radiology Centers in Gurnee, Libertyville and Bannockburn, and is also opening an operation in Glenview.
The hospital had previously operated four imaging centers at its Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital campus, Grayslake campus, Gurnee, and Vernon Hills locations.

Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital offers digital imaging, the highest standard of diagnostic imaging technology available in the industry. The hospital’s imaging capabilities include: high-end CT scanners; PET scanners; high-field and open MRIs; ultrasound; X-ray; mammography; nuclear medicine; and interventional radiology.
The hospital’s imaging network employs more than 200 staff, including 20 radiologists, and will now provide approximately 200,000 diagnostic imaging procedures for patients annually.
The hospital’s Diagnostic Imaging department is led by medical director Jeffrey L. Rosengarten, M.D. Dr. Rosengarten is board certified in diagnostic radiology and certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners. Susan Becker, Director of Diagnostic Imaging at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, is the administrator of imaging capabilities for all hospital locations.
