This year’s vendors are from around the country and will offer guests the opportunity to purchase designer jewelry, purses and accessories; men’s and women’s clothing; cashmere; embroidered and needlepoint items; distinctive accessories for your table; hostess gifts; fresh flowers and plants; and holiday décor. After last year’s successful debut of the Pediatric Giving Tree, shoppers will once again have the opportunity to buy an ornament to hang on the special tree. These donations will help fill the hospital’s pediatric play areas with toys, games and books.
The Boutique will be chaired by Jennifer Horan, Mary Bires and Joann Jacks. Horan says the Women’s Board listened to feedback from previous years and created a great event for all. “We brought back the popular pediatric giving tree and extended our Friday night hours to accommodate shoppers’ busy schedules. We have the right ingredients for a great Boutique to benefit the outstanding health care in our community.”
The Deer Path Inn is located at 255 E. Illinois in Lake Forest. Those who stay for dinner on Friday evening will be offered a complimentary glass of wine and dessert.
The Women’s Board was founded in 1942 and currently has 122 members. The board’s mission is to support the hospital through fundraising, volunteerism, education and advocacy.
Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital was recently named a Consumers Choice Hospital for the sixth year in a row by National Research Corporation.
