Flu Shots Coming to Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital

LAKE FOREST, IL – Three Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital locations will offer flu vaccinations beginning on Monday, September 13. This year's vaccine will protect against both the seasonal flu and the H1N1 virus.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) says a yearly flu immunization is the first and most important step in protecting against this serious disease. The CDC recommends getting the flu vaccine soon after it becomes available in order to have flu protection throughout the season.

The hospital is offering all three types of vaccine: conventional ($30) and nasal spray and mercury-free vaccines ($40). Cash is preferred, and the hospital will bill Medicare.
