Named “Most Preferred” in all service lines for Lake and Kenosha counties
LAKE FOREST, IL – In the recent announcement that Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital was named the Consumer Choice hospital for Lake and Kenosha counties, the hospital was also named the “Most Preferred” hospital for all fifteen clinical service lines in the annual consumer survey by National Research Corporation.
“We are honored to have won the Consumer Choice award all seven years that the NRC has recognized the highest quality of healthcare providers in this region,” said Thomas J. McAfee, president of Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital. “This year in particular, being named the ‘most preferred’ hospital in all fifteen service lines speaks to the exceptional quality of care provided by our physicians and other caregivers in a comprehensive array of medical specialties. We continue to expand our clinical capabilities to bring the best of Northwestern healthcare expertise to Lake and Kenosha counties.”
In the past year alone, NLFH welcomed a new director of cardiology along with seven new cardiac specialists, expanded the Northwestern Grayslake campus to include a new surgery center and cancer center and received two prestigious designations for its breast imaging facilities and its overall breast care. NLFH also received the highest nursing honor that can be bestowed on a hospital staff, Magnet Recognition, from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The Emergency Department was one of 20 national recipients to receive the Emergency Nurses Association’s first annual “Lantern Award” for exceptional and innovative performance.
