Northwestern Memorial Hospital Executive Administration Leaders Elected and Honored by Local and National Organizations

CHICAGO, IL – Eric Conley, vice president of operations at Northwestern Memorial, has been honored as a "Business Leader of Color" by Chicago United. The award recognizes accomplished corporate and civic leaders for their innovation and leadership. Conley, who joined Northwestern Memorial in 2010, is featured with the other winners in Chicago United’s Business Leaders of Color publication, in the November 7 issue of Crain’s Chicago Business. Chicago United promotes multiracial leadership in business to advance parity in economic opportunity.
Michelle Janney, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, senior vice president and Wood-Prince Family chief nurse executive at Northwestern Memorial has been elected 2012 AONE president-elect of the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) Board of Directors. Janney, who joined Northwestern Memorial in 2002, has been a registered nurse for more than 30 years, serving as a bedside nurse, faculty, researcher, administrator and board member. Under her leadership, the hospital received Magnet designation in 2006 and re-designation in 2010. Magnet designation recognizes health care organizations for superior patient care, nursing excellence and innovations in professional nursing practice.
Holli Salls, vice president of public relations, marketing and physician services at Northwestern Memorial, has been elected as 2012 president-elect of the board of directors by the members of the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development (SHSMD). SHSMD is a personal membership group of the American Hospital Association. Since joining the hospital in 2000, she has developed an integrated approach for the hospital’s internal and external communications, marketing, public relations, and physician relations programs. A member of SHSMD since 1996, Salls is currently a member of the SHSMD board of directors and the Finance Committee.
