CHICAGO, IL – Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation (NMFF), a strategic partner in Northwestern Medicine with Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, recently acquired Chicago Lake Shore Medical Associates (CLSMA). The addition expands the breadth of NMFF and its more than 800 physicians and 1,600 health professionals, making it one of Chicago’s largest physician practices.
“We are very pleased to welcome Dr. Havey and CLSMA’s outstanding team of health care professionals,” said Norm Botsford, executive vice president and chief operating officer for NMFF. “Dr. Havey’s practice adds to NMFF more than two decades of exemplary patient care. It’s an honor to enlarge our commitment to outstanding service to the greater Chicago area.”
Robert Havey, MD, founded CLSMA in Chicago in 1989. In addition to overseeing CLSMA, Havey is an assistant professor of general internal medicine at Feinberg.
“As Northwestern Medicine, we have immense opportunity to enhance our patient care experience throughout metropolitan Chicago and beyond,” Havey added. “The inextricable linkages between NMFF, Northwestern Memorial, and Feinberg, combines innovative specialty care, the highest standards of quality, and advanced medical research that ensures a first-rate patient experience. We look forward to helping to make Northwestern Medicine a world-class destination for health care services.”
As part of NMFF, CLSMA will continue to admit patients into Northwestern Memorial. All of its physicians hold Feinberg faculty appointments. Their clinicians specialize in 14 different medical specialties ranging from neurology to gastroenterology. CLSMA’s medical offices are situated on two floors in Northwestern’s Arkes Pavilion, which is located at 676 North St. Clair in Streeterville.
Founded in 1980, NMFF is a premier, multispecialty physician organization committed to exceptional patient care and leading and supporting Feinberg’s innovative translational research and academic endeavors.
