WINFIELD, IL – Cadence Health has named Maureen Bryant president of Delnor Hospital and executive vice president of Cadence Health. Ms. Bryant joined Cadence Health after previously serving as president and chief executive officer of the Fox River Valley Region for Presence Health. Ms. Bryant has more than 25 years of executive healthcare leadership and management experience and has tremendous knowledge of the western suburbs.

“We are fortunate to have a leader of Maureen’s caliber,” said Mike Vivoda, President and Chief Executive Officer, Cadence Health. “She has a proven track record of executive leadership in a changing market that challenges us to manage increasing demand, while improving efficiency as well as the patient, physician and employee experience.”

Prior to her time at Presence Health, Ms. Bryant served as president and chief executive officer of Morton Hospital and Medical Center in Taunton, MA; executive vice president and chief administrative officer at Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY; senior vice president of operations at The Toledo Hospital, Toledo, OH; and executive vice president and chief operating officer of Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet.

“The opportunity to lead Delnor Hospital during this time of great change is truly exciting,” said Maureen Bryant, President, Delnor Hospital. “I look forward to collaborating with a dedicated staff of health care professionals as we continue to provide high-quality, compassionate care to the residents of Geneva, the Fox River Valley region and beyond.”

In 1990, Ms. Bryant received a MBA at Western New England College in Springfield, MA, and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from American International College. She began her career in health care as a cardiology technician at St. Clare’s Hospital in Schenectady, NY.

Ms. Bryant replaced Robert Friedberg, who left the system earlier this year to pursue an opportunity with a healthcare system in New York.
