Northwestern Memorial HealthCare Names Mark Modesto Vice President and Chief Marketing Executive

CHICAGO, IL – Northwestern Memorial HealthCare announced today that Mark Modesto has joined the organization as the health system’s new Vice President and Chief Marketing Executive, effective August 15. Modesto is an accomplished executive with more than 30 years of experience in marketing, advertising and brand management.
“Mark has successfully built and enhanced global brands throughout his career while providing executive leadership to offices nationally and internationally,” said Dean M. Harrison, President and Chief Executive Officer, Northwestern Memorial HealthCare. “We believe with Mark’s considerable experience, he will be able to elevate the Northwestern Medicine brand experience for the patients and communities we are privileged to serve.”
Modesto has been a major change agent who has built, operated and integrated a number of different agency business models. In his last position as Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Epsilon Agency, a top ranked U.S. agency for marketing and advertising by Advertising Age, Modesto lead the building and integration of the Agency with Epsilon’s Data Offering.

Prior to his role at Epsilon, Modesto spent almost a decade moving through the ranks at FCB, one of the largest global agency networks. In 2006, he was named President of FCB Chicago, where he focused on agency growth and significantly increased the revenue of the Chicago office. Then in 2009, he was promoted to the President of North America, where he was responsible for overseeing offices in New York, Seattle, San Francisco, Toronto and Montreal.
Modesto earned his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri at Columbia and holds a Master’s degree in Integrated Marketing/Advertising from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
