RN turnover rate (Critical Care)
Nurses leave their positions for a variety of reasons, including to gain experience in other clinical service areas within the hospital or at another facility. Nursing turnover is the percentage of nurses who left a clinical service area during a certain period of time.
About This Measure
This measure tracks the percentage of nurses who left the critical care units. A lower number may indicate that a hospital provides a higher level of patient care.
Note: Some comparison data is not available for this measure. You can view results of other individual hospitals at http://www.healthcarereportcard.illinois.gov/
For this measure, a lower number is better.
