Percentage of nursing hours worked by hospital employed RNs (Mother-Baby)
Northwestern Medicine is committed to having professional, dedicated caregivers at the bedside. Nurses complete a comprehensive training program after they are hired to ensure they are competent to practice independently. Nursing caregivers are evaluated on their job performance at least once every year. Ongoing learning programs are available for nursing staff through continuing education opportunities and training courses.
About This Measure
This measure tracks the percentage of nursing hours worked by RNs, who are employed with Northwestern Medicine, in the mother-baby units. A higher number may indicate that a hospital provides a higher level of patient care.
Note: You can view how we compare to other hospitals in the region at the Illinois Hospital Report Card and Consumer Guide to Health Care Web site: http://healthcarereportcard.illinois.gov/.
For this measure, a higher number is better.
