Heart Care
Heart care refers to non-surgical care for the heart. At Northwestern Medicine, our cardiologists help patients deal with heart disease and related heart disorders.
Patients with heart disease, which includes heart failure and heart rhythm irregularities, are often seen by cardiologists. The treatments for these conditions range from medication to procedures, such as cardiac catheterization, catheter ablation and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). These procedures can prevent heart problems like heart attacks or heart rhythm irregularities.
