Screening for depression and having a follow up plan

Millions of Americans suffer from depression. It is a common but serious mood disorder that causes persistent feelings of sadness and affects the way you feel, think and behave. Left untreated, depression can lead to other serious health concerns, including anxiety, substance misuse and suicidal thoughts. If you suffer from depression, your physician can complete a simple confidential screening as a first step to helping plan for the care that you need.

About this measure

This measure tracks the percent of people who were screened and diagnosed for depression, and received a follow-up plan if needed.
