COVID-19 Vaccines for People Age 12 and Older

COVID-19 vaccines and boosters are recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This schedule from the CDC outlines the COVID-19 vaccination schedule for all ages.
Getting a Vaccine at Northwestern Medicine
Immediate Care Centers
Most* Northwestern Medicine Immediate Care Centers offer the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for:
- First, second and third doses
- Booster doses
Vaccination is offered Tuesday through Saturday for patients age 12 and older. You do not need to be a Northwestern Medicine patient to get a vaccine at an Immediate Care Center. Please bring your vaccination record with you if you plan to get a booster vaccination.
*COVID-19 vaccines and boosters are not available at Northwestern Medicine Immediate Care Centers in Lake Bluff, Lincoln Square and Mokena.
Appointments are not necessary, but you may choose to reserve a time slot.

Primary Care Sites
The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is available at select Northwestern Medicine Primary Care sites. Please check with your physician to find out if the vaccine is available at their location.
You must be a current Northwestern Medicine patient. You do not need to be a patient at the clinic where you get the vaccine.

- CVS and Walgreens offer booster shots in many communities.
