5.0 star star star star starShe cares and has taken time to actually assist me in getting my mom’s blood pressure and sugar levels under control. She also called palliative services to help me with my mom’s care at home . She has a very positive attitude and outlook towards helping the elderly and actually has been on point with my mom’s diabetes.Alzheimer’s and Dementia we’re managing as best as we can as a team. 5.0 star star star star starDr Petrakos is a wonderful doctor. She listens carefully and responds thoughtfully. I was scheduled for a routine check up but was feeling quite sick. She discovered I had pneumonia in addition to the virus I figured I had. She called me as soon as she got the X-ray results and also called in antibiotics prescriptions for me. I was very grateful she was so thorough.

5.0 star star star star starShe was very thorough and listened to my problems thoughtfully. She made some suggestions for coping with them that I’d never heard from other doctors. She gave me a “game plan†to follow and took a lot of time with me. Overall, Dr. Petrakos was excellent!

5.0 star star star star starDr.Petrakos and her assistant were wonderful to me. They were very warm with a nice touch of humor, just enough to take the edge off a annual physical examination. I respect the fact that she is a very busy Doctor, and it was our first meeting and she spent the time with me, to insure she reviewed all of my history and concerns and did so without making me feel like she was in a rush to move to next appointment. I really appreciate the way she interacted with my thoughts and providing me with constructive direction. I am very thankful that I am her patient and most appreciative of her health care guidance!

5.0 star star star star starDr. P spent a good amount of time discussing my mom and coming to a clear understanding of where she is in her medical care. I am confident in her and her approach. I really appreciate that she recognized my efforts in my mom's care too. That small kindness meant a lot.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Petrakos expressed her willingness and heartfelt approval to have an additional family participate. We "plugged in" our daughter [ ] for the appointment. She (Dr. P) was more than empathetic, She was most thorough. Her level of interest & concern showed her excellent "bedside manner". created appreciation & confidence...not easily earned.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
