At Northwestern Medicine, our patient’s feedback is important to us. While different care providers have their own unique strengths, we strive to be as transparent as possible with our quality of care.
I have had a great experience with NM Internal Medicine. While today's appointment was a telehealth appointment (so over the phone) my last appointment was in person and the facility was extremely clean and organized.
He was amazing. He gave me all the time I needed and explained things in a way I could understand him. He was very knowledgeable about my problem. He gave potential helps and remedies. He also gave a very complete examination. I give him an A star recommendation.
My primary care doctor was out of town and I had an urgent need to see a doctor. I was scheduled with Dr. Killian within 24 hours. During the meeting, I was in intense pain in my back so I had to frequently stand up, move and was very uncomfortable. Dr. Killian was kind, sympathetic and made sure I had the care necessary. He also worked with my insurance to get a previously denied test approved. I am forever grateful for his help and recommend him to anyone as a doctor.
I've only seen Dr. Killian once. He was fine. Very thorough, but one thing I would note is that he didn't explain possible side effects of shingles vaccine, which he recommended. I got the shingles and flu vaccine on same day, had bad side effects for about 48 hours.
Dr Killian was thorough, respectful and clear in his communication with me. For a person such as I who goes to the doctor on a regular basis somewhat unwillingly, I will heed his instructions to report regularly on my current state of health.
Doctor Killian spent a good deal of time with me, explaining my test results and going over what I should do to stay healthy, what the results mean for someone my age, and what my follow up visits should deal with.He is very easy to talk to and made me comfortable.
He seems like a really good doctor. Frankly, it's very hard to make a clear assessment because we're all wearing masks. Also, medicine has become such a factory--everything is on computer and you don't really have a personal connection with your doctor. That is not Dr. Killian's fault. It's what's happened to medicine. It's been de-personalized.
He was thoughtful and listened while we talked about my care. Met me where I was at. Didn't make me feel bad about numbers that weren't truly indicative of my overall health. Make sure I knew what resources would be available to me if I were depressed or in an abusive relationship
This was the first time I was seeing Dr. Killian and he was very thoughtful and listened intently to my symptoms and concerns before making recommendations. I appreciated that he offered to run the appropriate tests to rule out any more serious issues, and he also led me through some breathing exercises to help with stress. Highly recommend!
I will be changing my care with Dr. Killian. He is great, he is calm and asks great questions, he is thorough and genuinely appears to want to help. He is very comprehensive-even for acute"episodic visits.
