5.0 star star star star starVery knowledgeable and kind. Really listened and addressed my concerns. She even asked if I was breastfeeding due to potential harmful effects of the medicine she prescribed. I really appreciate that.

5.0 star star star star starI really like Dr. A, she comes across first as being a very good doctor. She patiently listens to all your concerns, and gives you answers that you can understand. Dr. A. is the 3rd dermatologist I have seen regarding my condition. I first went to Rush, then University of Chicago, next was a cosmetic dermatologist, and I was not getting any results for my condition. I decided to seek a third opinion, and sought out someone at NW. on my very first visit she did and said some things that no one else had ever done. I really appreciated that she told me she wanted to discuss my case with her colleagues, before she started any treatment for me. She also Rx a medication for me that no one else did. Finally, since I have been seeing her, there is much improvement for my condition, I really was starting to get depressed, thinking it would never get better, I was hiding, didn’t want to go anywhere. She told me this was going to be a journey and to be patient. I really appreciated her compassion. And presently I have seen much improvement. Dr. A, is certainly a valuable asset to your dermatology department.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
