I speak with Dr. Derrick maybe twice a year, message maybe twice more. Yet after consulting her notes I presume she remembers every nuance of my interwoven medical history, why we switched for A to B, why we'd better try C rather than D, etc. and she has a delightful personality.

Dr Derrick's care has never earned less than a 10 - I only regret that there are not much higher numbers to choose from in order to rate my most recent visit. She spent extra time questioning, researching, analyzing, and evidenced by her exemplary "after visit" notes - she listened.

Dr. Derrick is a wonderful, caring doctor. I was referred to her by another patient who said that she and many of her friends all love having Dr. Derrick as their physician. Dr. Melody Derrick listens carefully. I'm confident in her medical judgment and advice. On this visit she copied off the chart to show the hemoglobin numbers for the last 5 years (pre-diabetic) and the number from this year. She prescribed a low-dose medication and advised weight loss and dietary restrictions and said she's encouraged to think we can get that number down again. A sensible reaction and motivating. As to shortness of breath, she advised I see a pulmonologist, which I will do. As to a mammogram, she left that to my judgment.
