At Northwestern Medicine, our patient’s feedback is important to us. While different care providers have their own unique strengths, we strive to be as transparent as possible with our quality of care.
Dr. Grebenciucova is hands-down the most thorough doctor I have ever visited at NWM. She listened carefully to my symptoms, provided a wealth of information about my condition, and even provided alternatives to medications she prescribed if I did not respond well to the original plan. Dr. Grebenciucova even got online during our appointment and helped me find coupons for my medication. I could not be more pleased with the visit to her - she is an asset to NWM.
I really liked Dr G.! She explained everything thoroughly and I really trust her opinion. I left the office feeling relieved and also feeling hopeful that my headache pain is going to be under control very soon.
Dr G was very understanding of the issues i have with my MS, she gave me options and helped me understand that i have choices for different meds if need be in the future. She made me feel confident with her as my new care provider for my MS!
Dr Elena was very thorough and took her time listening to me and reviewing my previous scans. She went over previous records and actually let me talk. She told me information previous doctors had never mentioned.
i thought my care provider was wonderful. of course I have a complicated condition and could have spent hours going over my history but I thought they did a fair job balancing letting me talk, answering my questions and giving me straightforward but clear and convince answers to my questions. as well, they were honest and straightforward and included me in my medical decisions and treated me with respect and acted like I was knowledgeable about my condition, which I appreciate.
I had a very good experience with Dr. Grebenciucova. She seemed professional, knowledgeable, and did not order unnecessary testing. She addressed all of my concerns appropriately and I did not feel dismissed.
Dr. G. was very thorough and made sure she explained every step of the exam. When she advised me to go to the E.R. she made sure I understood why it was necessary to go there. Made sure I understood all the medical jargon.
She is good neurologist. One thing I absolutely did NOT appreciate at was being shouted at by Dr.G the moment she walked into the room I was waiting in. I was in pain, and the least thing I want is a doctor shouting at me for sending her a message about a symptom she does not specialise in. I just wanted to have every angle covered, but ot appears the doctor lost it. Could have been avoided. Otherwise, she is good, clear and caring.
Prior to my appointment, I was concerned about having enough time with the doctor/feeling rushed, but I found that she really took a good amount of time with me, listened to my concerns, and I did not feel rushed by her or that she was in a rush at all!
I was honestly surprised by how long the appointment slots were at neurology. In other experiences at Northwestern, the appointments have been relatively impersonal, quick in-and-out visits, whereas I was able to talk with Dr. G without feeling rushed. However, there is one instance that I am a bit bothered by - I received test results indicating the possibility of an autoimmune disorder and was told this via email right before the offices closed for the weekend. As someone with a known history of anxiety and depression, I didn't appreciate being left hanging and scouring the internet all weekend, let alone a phone call instead of an email. I appreciated being told this information promptly, but it felt as though little concern for my potential response was considered.
I was extremely impressed with Dr. G. She was calm, professional, and so positive. I felt she took the time to listen to me and did not rush through my appointment. I was extremely impressed and I am excited to work with her further.
