I find Dr. Shapiro to be an excellent listener and communicator, always remains compassionate, calm and friendly, is extremely responsive when I send messages through the portal, and gives excellent and practical advice. If the proof is in the outcome, since seeing Dr. Shapiro, I have been mostly symptom-free. Every patient needs custom care, and I experience that Dr. Shapiro gets that and is willing and able to pivot with my priorities, even when they change. I could not more-highly recommend him.

He is knowledgeable, courteous, but he did not perform the most basic procedure of looking down my throat where the problem is. Even if it had merely been for show it would have helped my mood—anxiety. It made me feel —well— as if I were not truly being “treated” by the doctor, just “cleared” to be passed on again and again and again.

He took the time to talk to me and the conversation wasn’t just about the reason for my office visit. Dr Shapiro asked about my dog and even wanted to see a picture. That let me know that a wasn’t just a patient I was the patient at that moment. It’s like he threw in a little mental health and kindness. Very easy to talk to.
