5.0 star star star star starDr. Cheung is very caring, professional, knowledgeable, and takes her time to fully investigate any issues or concerns expressed by the patient or flagged by a lab test or procedure. I never feel rushed at an appointment, and she responds quickly with answers when messaged or called. Dr. Cheung is very thorough in her assessments.

4.0 star star star star star_borderWe just started our transition from pediatric to adult. We just saw Dr Cheung once so far… otherwise she would probably have a 10. She explained everything to us in a way we could understand. I like her personality and she seems to be a good fit for my daughter’s care team. She listened to my concerns too - which I appreciate. We are working on getting things squared away.

5.0 star star star star starAmanda Ching-Wun Cheung, MD does well in explaining my situation to me and the appropriate further plan to address the issues I'm facing and how to proceed into the future to help myself before randomly prescribing medication before these initial steps are taken. I went to Northwestern to get the best opinions in the Chicagoland area. unlike what was a random doctor visit locally. with the latest medicine and medical diagnosis. from what I've seen so far Northwestern is cutting edge thought and approach. it was a very positive experience. thank you.

5.0 star star star star starThis was my first visit with Dr. Cheung. I was thoroughly impressed by her professionalism, knowledge and courteous personality. She took the time to explain the results of my fiber scan, a plan that I should follow to maintain a healthy liver and discuss next steps. She responded to questions/concerns in a very clear way that was understandable for me. At no time did I ever feel rushed. I look forward for continued care under Dr. Cheung and have already scheduled my next appointment.

2.0 star star star_border star_border star_borderSee above. The first thing a provider says to a patient upon meeting them, should not be to ask them if they've considered bariatric surgery. First of all, just read my chart. I've been there, I've transferred from another provider who left. You can take time to read my chart. Secondly, how about you don't assume that I am in a bigger body because I don't know how to eat or that I don't exercise. Quite the opposite- you can probably assume that because I am in a bigger body, I have been grilled on diet, exercise, and am probably more athletic and well versed in actually what a healthy lifestyle is than people in smaller bodies. You can also assume that I am treated as if I am less than, lazy, and only eat fast food for every meal. And I'm tired of that being the only assumption of me when people see my body- especially from practitioners who are supposed to be caring for me.

She made me feel very comfortable with both her thoroughness throughout my first visit and her follow-up call the following day once my test results were available.
