It's like he'll say "This is the gold standard, but there are these drawbacks"... OK, what do you recommend? "Like I said [impatiently] this is the gold standard." There are times when he should say "I recommend you do this" and he won't.

5.0 star star star star starI've only seen him once, after switching from Dr. [ ], but was very pleased with the amount of time he took to go over my medical history and update my MyChart information. He was personable, easy to talk to, and answered all my questions and I didn't feel rushed.

5.0 star star star star starDr Howard is very thorough, he takes his time with information gathering and examination. You never feel rushed. He listens and doesn’t dismiss what you are reporting. He is very respectful, he makes sure that the plan of care is understood before leaving his office.

5.0 star star star star starI have had one meeting so far with Dr. Axe and, based on that experience, I have high confidence that he is a great choice for my new Primary Care Physician. When my previous PCP left NM recently, I did a lot of research for a replacement and heard very favorable comments about Dr. Axe. I am happy with how the transition has worked out and have confidence in the medical care I will have going forward.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Axe has an excellent bedside manner. He never makes me feel rushed and takes the time to thoroughly and clearly answer all of my questions. He explains health issues very clearly and gives you treatment options when appropriate. I would highly recommend Dr. Axe.

I understand if he wasn't able to help me but he didn't seem to even want to address my concern and when I kept bringing it up because it was concerning to me it seemed to irritate him. Even though I explained to him the irritating part is I haven't been able to take care of my kids due to a debilitating headache for the last 5 days. I've gotten barely any direction from the ER or him. I got told I have three options either my symptoms will get better worse or stay the same. To have to pay a $40 copay to hear that is very frustrating I understand those are my three options. I am fortunate that my symptoms started to resolve this afternoon because if not I would be shit out of luck. I have appreciated his fourth-rightness in the past, but clearly being the last patient of the day he had hit his limit and I do not appreciate being talked down too. All I wanted was direction and to have to sit there and plead for it is very frustrating. I am not happy with the service I received. He has been great in the past but clearly today was not his day.

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderI think he’s a very thorough doctor. Needs better bedside manner. At my last appt. I had lost some weight (finally) and he was ecstatic. I was the asked to speculate WHY I lost the weight. Frankly—I thought it was one of the meds I was taking that had a loss of appetite side effect. I was then given a patronizing lecture about a group of people getting sugar pills (I’m assuming as a woman I was too stupid to understand the word “placeboâ€) vs. real meds. I was told that the meds did not have anything to do with my appetite. WHO CARES! It was working for me and it made me happy! Why not let me have that! Then, I get asked if I want to see the dietician—AGAIN. NO. I hate dieticians. They’re weird! I know what I need to do to lose weight! I’m tired of being badgered about my weight—especially when I just lost some! It just makes me want to go home and eat a whole pie!
