Overview
Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital, an extension of Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital, opened in 2016 in Huntley, Illinois, with more than 600 physicians in 70 specialties who provide comprehensive medical care. The 128-bed facility provides access to Level 2 Trauma Center, surgical services including a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, a 20-bed Family Birth Center, Medical-Surgical Services, a 12 bed Intensive Care Unit, a Comprehensive Medical and Surgical Weight Loss Center and a Hip and Knee Replacement Center. The hospital's physicians and staff provide emergency services, and inpatient and outpatient care, and specialize in orthopaedics, cardiovascular interventions, surgical services and obstetrics. The hospital's pediatric unit is staffed 24/7 by pediatric hospitalists from Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, which brings pediatric inpatient hospitalists to Huntley to care for children who are inpatients or who need consultations in the Emergency Department. The campus also features an Immediate Care Center, physician offices, a fitness center, and health and wellness services.

In addition to our spiritual services, our Animal-Assisted Therapy Program, called Caring Paws, has more than 30 participating dogs. The therapy dogs visit patients in the waiting areas and in the nursing units. For more information about Caring Paws, call 815.759.4626.
Huntley Hospital Chapel
The Huntley Hospital Chapel is open 24/7 for visitors, staff and patients. This chapel offers sacred scripture of different faith traditions and special services including funerals, memorials and Ash Wednesday. The chapel is located on the main floor of the hospital near the main lobby.

The Huntley Hospital Pastoral Care team provides spiritual and emotional care for patients, families and friends. We extend a welcoming hand to people of all faiths. Chaplains who are also healthcare professionals provide pastoral care and help people cope with life’s difficulties through conversation, partnership in prayer or by simply sitting with people in need. Our compassionate chaplains respect each person’s beliefs and listen without judgment. Our chaplains provide sacraments and connections to your own religious community and support groups. They also make regular rounds in the hospital and in the Emergency Department. When faced with some of life’s most difficult decisions, our chaplains are available for ethical consultations. They also provide information about living wills, advance directives and Do Not Resuscitate orders.
