Overview

Our pediatricians provide preventive care, diagnosis and treatment of children's health conditions, diseases and injuries, including well child exams.

The inpatient pediatric unit at Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital is staffed 24/7 by an expert medical team of pediatric hospitalists from Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, specially trained nurses and skilled technicians who have expertise in pediatric medicine.

Pediatric hospitalists are board-certified pediatricians with special training in hospital-based medicine for infants, children and adolescents. These specialists provide and coordinate clinical care and serve as the essential bridge between your hospitalized child and your child’s pediatrician or specialty care physician(s).

In addition, a Lurie Children’s cardiologist reads all pediatric electrocardiograms and echocardiograms performed at the hospitals in Huntley, McHenry and Woodstock. Lurie Children’s also provides an outpatient office located at Medical Office Building 1 on the Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital campus with pediatric specialists in Allergy and Immunology, Cardiology and Surgery.
