Prevention, Early Detection and Treatment of Common Gastrointestinal Cancers

As a group, gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, which include cancers of the digestive system such as colorectal and esophageal cancers, are the most common of all cancers.  Members of Northwestern Medicine's multidisciplinary GI cancer team will discuss the latest strategies for prevention, early detection and treatment of common GI cancer. The session will be presented by John Abad, MD, a surgical oncologist with Northwestern Medicine Regional Medical Group; Dragana Tomic, MD, a medical oncologist with Northwestern Medicine Regional Medical Group; and Stephen Mihalcik, MD, PhD, a radiation oncologist.
