Why I chose NMH

I was drawn to NMH for many reasons! First, being a very strong academic medical center, I knew that training at NMH would provide a great opportunity to strengthen my clinical skills. Second, given my interest in academia, I was attracted to the formal and informal teaching opportunities available through this program. Finally, when I interviewed at NMH, I felt right at "home" with the people I met and the culture within the pharmacy department.

The people :) At NMH, we have a very supportive team dynamic. I enjoy having a larger residency class, as it allows for more collaboration amongst one another. I feel as though finding a program where you "fit" is key to a successful residency year. At NMH, I found my perfect "fit".

I was able to do a rotation here as a student and fell in love with the atmosphere at NMH.  The evidence based nature of the way I was educated led me to believe this was the best place to complete my training.  All of the preceptors are here for a reason and are some of the best clinicians in our profession to learn from.  Lastly, the opportunities are endless in relation to the experiences we are able to participate in, which helps round out the experience and mold it to our own needs.

I started at NMH as a student and continued on as a technician. I feel that the NMH Pharmacy staff has supported my growth and transition from student to pharmacist and wanted to continue on that journey at NMH.
