Meet the Les Turner ALS Center Team
As a multidisciplinary clinic, you will be able to see all of the members of your care team in one visit, if necessary. And you will not need to go to multiple appointments and offices: You will be in one exam room, and our team comes to you.
Your team is made up of experts in neurology, pulmonology, nursing, clinical trial coordination, genetics, nutrition, and physical, occupational and speech therapy.
Your ALS Care Team
In our multidisciplinary clinic, you will be able to see all of the members of your care team in one visit, if needed. And, you won’t need to go to multiple appointments and offices: You will be in one exam room, and our team comes to you. Your team is made up of experts in neurology, pulmonology, nursing, clinical trial coordination, genetics, nutrition, and physical, occupational and speech therapy.
Another important part of our unique model of care is access to the Les Turner ALS Foundation’s ALS Support Services Coordinators, who are experienced ALS nurses and social workers. At each clinic session, a member of the Les Turner ALS Foundation Support Services team is available to help you sign up for no-cost services. The ALS Support Services coordinators can visit your home or conduct televisits in between clinic appointments to ensure continuity of care. These in-home or telehealth visits are done in coordination with your care team at the Lois Insolia ALS Clinic, so at your next visit, your care team will already be updated on your situation and needs. A Foundation ALS Support Services Coordinator will provide you with a complimentary parking pass for your clinic visits and information on:
- The Foundation and its services
- Support group meetings
- Community resources
- Medical and communication equipment
- Community events
