July 15, 2014
Central DuPage Hospital's orthopaedic program ranked 28th nationally
WINFIELD, IL – For the second consecutive year, Central DuPage Hospital (CDH) and Delnor Hospital have been ranked as two of the Best Hospitals in Chicago and Illinois by U.S.News & World Report. For the sixth time in eight years, CDH’s orthopaedic program has been ranked nationally, ranking 28th in the country.
"This achievement is a great honor for CDH and Delnor and demonstrates the unwavering commitment by the hospitals' medical staffs and clinicians to providing high-quality compassionate care to the patients we serve in the western suburbs and beyond,” said Mike Vivoda, President and Chief Executive Officer, Cadence Health. "The CDH orthopaedic program continues to achieve national recognition and has become one of the country’s finest."
The annual U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals rankings, now in their 25th year, recognize hospitals that excel in treating the most challenging patients. For 2014-15, U.S. News & World Report evaluated hospitals in 16 adult specialties and ranked the top 50 in most of the specialties. Just 3 percent of the nearly 5,000 hospitals that were analyzed for Best Hospitals 2014-15 earned national ranking in even one specialty.
"The data tell the story – a hospital that emerged from our analysis as one of the best has much to be proud of," says U.S. News Health Rankings Editor Avery Comarow. "A Best Hospital has demonstrated its expertise in treating the most challenging patients."
