Northwestern Medicine Private Duty Services

The Northwestern Medicine Private Duty Program provides quality personal care and support in your home. Certified nursing aides provide private duty services.

Our Private Duty Program is accredited by The Joint Commission, which means we have undergone rigorous scrutiny of our program and practices.

Our nursing assistants are certified by and registered with the state of Illinois. They are specially trained in providing personal care and support services. Their training includes instruction by a registered nurse trained in the Best Friends approach to Alzheimer's care by the Alzheimer's Association®.

We Get You Involved

Our goal is to provide support and involve you and your family in the care planning process. This helps ensure the most effective home care possible and that you can remain safely in your home.

Our services include:

  • Bathing, grooming and/or dressing
  • Meal preparation and feeding
  • Assistance with other everyday activities
  • Light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, short errands and companionship
  • Medication reminders
  • Family support
