What is Palliative Care?

Palliative care provides medical and psychosocial support to patients and families who are affected by serious illness, including movement disorders. Palliative care addresses a number of challenges associated with Parkinson’s disease, including pain, constipation, weak¬ness, fatigue, depression and cognitive difficulties, and offers a support system to help you live as actively as possible, even with progressive and advanced disease.
