Northwestern Medicine Complex Airway and Tracheal Surgery Program
The Northwestern Medicine Complex Airway and Tracheal Surgery Program has pioneered several innovative techniques for the treatment of airway disorders. We use leading-edge approaches for evaluation and diagnosis and offer specialized treatments for both common and rare disorders of the trachea.
Our program is one of the first in the country to offer complex yet minimally invasive procedures, such as robotic tracheal reconstruction and tracheobronchoplasty, to restore proper function of the airway (trachea and bronchi) and voice.
Our team of highly skilled thoracic surgeons and interventional pulmonologists also uses a variety of minimally invasive techniques to treat potentially fatal conditions, such as tracheal or tracheo-esophageal fistulas, as well as tracheal stenosis.
