5.0 star star star star starJamie was absolutely fantastic at giving me helpful, practical, and realistic guidance to help manage my blood sugar. I have struggled with my blood sugar for many years and have almost given up trying to control my blood sugar. She helped me figure out the right number of carbs to eat at each meal, and help educate me about the different serving size is that equal 15 g of carbs. Her education about diet transformed my habits and understanding of how my blood sugar works and how I should eat consistently and also have my last meal by 8 PM. She is fantastic! Her hand outs were so informative, and easy to follow and visually clear. I love Jamie! She has really helped me change my life and feel like I can improve my health. She’s the best!

5.0 star star star star starProvided good dietary recommendations and several handouts to assist with adequate nutrition for my specific needs. If she didn't know an answer to a question, she was honest about saying so and provided recommendations on how to obtain those answers.

5.0 star star star star starJamie was very thorough and really took the time to go over in great detail a plan of action to help figure out the GI issues I've been having. I didn't feel rushed or like I needed to shorten any of my questions or concerns, because she made time for it all.

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderSee above. And no need to over-simplify info for the client based on age. She felt that was ‘what was needed’ in my case. I understand that counting carbs is more difficult than using the plate image with balanced and consistent meals. However, it’s not so hard that changing the approach and announcing that you are selecting the easier approach is necessary.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
