At Northwestern Medicine, our patient’s feedback is important to us. While different care providers have their own unique strengths, we strive to be as transparent as possible with our quality of care.
He is a fantastic doctor and kind human. Very respectful of the patient, and with a willingness to adapt and adjust treatment to avoid suffering, but always explaining clearly whats at stake. He is matter-of-factly. Explains well, takes time to respond all questions. Im very grateful for what he is doing for me. I trust him.
He is caring, professional, compassionate and a good lister.
He reads what I write regarding how Im feeling and my symptoms (in my experience not all doctors read everything, unfortunately) and I trust he is providing the best care for my condition.
He was wonderful. He listened to all my concerns, was very kind, of course very knowledgeable he was able to set up all my tests and surgery so we could get things moving. He made me feel very safe and confident. I was very happy with the whole staff.
Dr. Tanner is being so helpful in my unique situation. My husband is in the US military and we are currently living in Italy. He has been going above and beyond to ensure Im able to get care at Northwestern (close to my family). All the staff that work with him have been extremely helpful and professional (Fatima Elmoursi, Rachel Feetterer, Valerie Mouser).
Dr. Tanner is a great person and a great doctor. I felt so much better after meeting him. He explained everything to me in detail about my surgery. He is patient and kind. I am so glad Dr. Tanner is doing my surgery.
I think Dr Tanner is thoughtful in regards to what needs to be addressed before surgery and he was resourceful in getting the roadblocks out of the way before my surgery including reaching out to my primary care doctor and having her get involved right away in readying me for surgery. My Northwestern primary care doctor was impressed with his actions in reaching out to her and involving her before my surgery. In the end I dont think Dr Tanner was in a position to do the type of surgery he would have preferred to do but I believe he did what he thought needed to be done based on my circumstances. It is my impression that he reflected on and addressed the risks inherent in my surgery and he kept the process moving
