I’m so fortunate to have had Dr. Teitelbaum for my surgeon. He responded quickly when I developed unexpected symptoms and really listened to my concerns. He explained everything in detail and answered all of my questions patiently. He spoke with my son post op and my son was so impressed with the time he took to explain and answer his questions. Both teams were awesome, a real testament to Dr. Teitelbaum’s leadership. Erin saw me in the hospital. She listened to me and was so compassionate, caring and professional. Thank you all, especially Dr. Teitelbaum!

There was a glitch early on when Dr Teitelbaum’s staff neglected to inform me that he would not be available for a scheduled on-site and in-person appointment. Thereafter, everything proceeded in a timely and professional manner. Given the results so far, Dr Teitelbaum clearly is a highly skilled surgeon and I feel fortunate to have been his patient. He was recommended to me by my PCP, Jonathan Edward Reynolds, MD.

The surgery Dr. Teitelbaum and his team performed was perfect. No complications, no issues, everything went smoothly and I am recovering very fast. The staff at the surgery centre were amazingly caring and professional. I will recommend NM and D. Teitelbaum to everyone I know. I was fortunate to be his patient. Thank You Dr. Teitelbaum.

Would definitely recommend Dr. Teitelbaum !! His knowledge and bedside manner made me confident that the procedure would be a success. He addressed all of my concerns in a very relaxing manner. I appreciated that he communicated with my wife right after the procedure was completed to let her know how went it and put her mind at ease - he is a good communicator in addition to being a great doctor.

He was great in explaining the procedure and what to expect after surgery, although I think it would be better if he visited after the surgery - even for 5 minutes to tell me what he saw, how it went, etc.

Best doctor in every sense. He took time to discuss and explain my procedure. Very calm and personable with golden hands! His office went above and beyond to accommodate my surgery timing. Now three days after surgery, I feel just fine.

He is brilliant and gave me all the time I needed. He answered all my questions and even looked into the future if certain issues were or were not resolved. He is kind and caring and did a wonderful job. I told him I barely had any pain thanks to his care.

Dr. Teitelbaum took a long time discussing the pros and cons of having hernia surgery. He explained everything in a clear manner and was upfront about everything. He showed a great deal of patience and even drew diagrams for me to see my situation more clearly.

In the few times I have spoken with Dr. Teitelbaum, he seems to have a nice disposition. I think that is a vital attribute to have in Patient Dr. Communication. He seemed very thorough in looking at and reading my films. I have not had my surgery yet. After surgery, I can reevaluate his care. His score may go up then.

He is such a compassionate doctor. He truly wanted to help me and explained everything to me including in the risks and the expected successes. He had a sense of humor and was an excellent listener. I am so lucky to have him perform the upcoming surgery.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
