5.0 star star star star starDr. Duchon and Resident Dr. Khan, both spent a long time with me addressing all of my questions and concerns. I've been diabetic for 5 years and felt like I still barely knew anything about my disease and how to treat it, especially with dosing my insulin. Never have I received this type of care from my previous endocrinologist, and we have a great plan in place for managing everything and getting my numbers better controlled. Most importantly, they actually listened!! And I feel they really care and want to help me. I've already recommended her to a friend.

5.0 star star star star starI felt listened to and dr Duchen was happy to answer all our questions and educate me on proper food’s without talking down to me. This was a refreshing change. I appreciate being given the proper smalls to manage my condition and feeling like the doctor believe me when I told her I was trying to limit carbs. I think this approach would benefit many other diabetics.

5.0 star star star star starVery personable, knowledgeable and thorough. She took the time to review my case, listen to my concerns, answer all of my questions, and provided detailed explanations of what she thought might be going on and how she recommended proceeding going forward. This was my first time seeing her, and I was very impressed. I also appreciated that she squeezed me into her calendar appointments today as I was a referral to her to evaluate my case for an unrelated surgery that I need to have done very soon.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
