The doctor was very nice very gentle very very thorough explaining everything to me she took time and patience where I understand things more than I ever have and I'm 63 years old you think a female knows her body but you learn more and more each year and she was just amazing!!

Clear about options, concerned about reasons for lack of improvement and suggestions for improving the self care, detailed in explanations, optimistic but realistic. Warm, genial, frank, calming, so very, very clear. Asks helpful questions, recommends alternatives, remembers my circumstances well from appointment to appointment.

Dr. Kurtzer is kind and patient and clearly cares very much about my well-being, making sure I'm comfortable with the path forward, but also doing all she can to try to help me make progress, no matter what that looks like. I wish all providers at Northwestern, let alone at any other organization practiced trauma-informed care as she does, because everyone deserves it. Her approach makes healthcare accessible for me, whereas it it likely wouldn't be with any other provider.

Dr Kurtzer was EXCELLENT!! I was nervous about the visit and she quickly put me at ease. I never felt rushed. She answered all my questions, provided me with options to think about, and walked me threw every step of the way. I appreciated her calm, friendly approach and would definitely recommend her to others.

Traci really takes the time to explain everything in a non-stuffy way. I left the office feeling fully informed and able to make an good decision about care. When I returned for a small procedure, Traci walked me through it step by step in a calm, gentle manner. She explained aftercare very well and made sure that I had a follow-up appointment.

She’s kind, patient, thoughtful, and very considerate. I’m so grateful I was referred to her, and her team works well together. They have so much attention to detail to make sure I’m as comfortable as possible, even making note of small details like the supplies needed and dimming the lights to help me manage my chronic condition. I wish all providers offered the same high level of care and compassion, with the same commitment to a trauma-informed practice. No matter our experiences, everyone deserves to feel safe when trying to seek medical care.

Dr. Kurtzer was so kind, thoughtful, gave me a lot of information and reassurance. And that was even over a telehealth visit! And she was able to slot me in earlier than anticipated due to a cancellation- which I greatly appreciated.

I’d highly recommend Dr. Kurtzer. She’s kind, trauma-informed, and does what she can to meet me where I am, and I’ll be forever grateful. She’s willing to take the time to really consider my questions and provide support and resources when she can, to coordinate care and also to help me feel comfortable. I know that this is something that the medical system doesn’t usually allow providers to do, but I’m so grateful she’s dedicated to find a way to do it without ever making me feel like a burden.

OMG! The most knowledgeable human on pre,”me-no-pause” and post menopause. She spent time with explaining everything that is happening. And a thorough exam but no typical, Pap smear, no it was not. It was more about checking sensitivity and pelvic strength. Amazing! Thank you Dr. Kurtzer for imparting your wisdom. It was so nice and refreshing to be with someone that appeared to be around my same age with so much knowledge on this apparently taboo subject.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
