5.0 star star star star starFollowing my surgery, I had some complications. Maureen called me several times to check on me, walk me through what to expect, and show me general concern. Her bedside manner is excellent. I can't say enough about how much I appreciate the time she takes, the thoroughness in her explanations, but mostly her compassionate concern.

5.0 star star star star starFrom the first moment we met until the time I left, she made me feel so relaxed and comfortable! She also explained each step of what was happening and so clearly. She spoke of the body in ways that seemed so normal and created the atmosphere where you don’t feel embarrassed! And this is an “art” in this day and age when women are in the office having this type of exam! Such a welcoming experience !

5.0 star star star star starThorough exam. Discussed my history. Explained findings. Explained possible next steps. Both Kelly and Maureen were professional and friendly. This was an appointment I needed, but dreaded and came out feeling positive.

5.0 star star star star starMaureen is magical. She managed to get me to feel at ease talking about things that I never dreamed I would have to be discussing. She helped me feel no shame and made me feel normal and healthy. She would say things like "that's good! that's normal!" and "you're very healthy." I walked in feeling like a scared, sick person and left feeling like a weight was lifted off of me. I'm dealing with a little problem but Maureen helped me to see I'm still normal and healthy.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
