4.0 star star star star star_borderI’ve been a patient 10+ years I was seen by cardiologist she referred over a month ago. When I told her he had some concerns, she said I will need to read his notes. I feel over one month is a long time to follow up on mail. In the past, I had not experienced any issues. I felt my needs were being met.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Au has been my physician for over twenty years. She spends a huge amount of time listening to me and providing care. I totally trust her and I am very grateful that I have her as my primary care physician.

5.0 star star star star starI have been a patient of Dr Au since I moved to Chicago in 1995. The reason I have been with her all this time is her involvement as my partner in making sure that I am healthy. She is always responsive.

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderPatient care is also about connecting with your patients and I felt Denise was knowledgeable but that was the main focus as opposed to a balance in connecting and building a rapport with me as a new patient of hers.

5.0 star star star star starThis was my first time seeing Dr Au. She was attentive, caring, and respectful. She took time to learn about my personal and family medical history. She was thorough in her exam and asked questions. She listened and provided options.

5.0 star star star star starI have been seeing dr au for over 20 years and I've never waited more than 15 minutes to see her. Today I waited well over 1 hour just to reach her office. No staff advised me that she was behind or how long my wait would be. I am a senior citizen with a husband who has Parkinsons and Dementia. Love dr au; disappointed in Northwestern.

5.0 star star star star starShe’s been my doctor for nearly 30 years - WOW! She is highly knowledgeable, listens to her patients, has a great bedside manner, and if there’s something she doesn’t know, she knows it’s OK to say as much, but then digs for the answer, and follows up with her patient. There are no better physicians than Dr. Denise Au in my opinion.

5.0 star star star star starDr Au had always been very thorough, informative and friendly! Been our family practitioner for years and got my husband in right away when he had bladder cancer! She has always been very caring, empathetic and informative with us and offered options! She is the reason that I scored my overall experience a 10 of 10!

5.0 star star star star starDr. Au was so patient, understanding, and thorough. She did a complete exam and took all the time needed to answer all of my questions. After having her treat me today I am going to look into switching primary care physicians. I couldn’t have anything better to say about my experience with her.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
