Adrenal Cancer

Adrenal cancer (also called adrenocortical carcinoma) is a rare disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the outer layer of the adrenal gland.

Risk Factors

Risk factors for adrenal cancer include having the following hereditary diseases:

• Li-Fraumeni syndrome
• Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome
• Carney complex
• Von Hippel-Lindau disease or a family history of Von Hippel-Lindau disease
