Vein Center at Central DuPage Hospital
The Northwestern Medicine Vein Center at Central DuPage Hospital is staffed with board-certified interventional radiologists and vascular surgeons who collaborate to provide the highest quality vein care. Though other doctors may perform these procedures, our team of experts is specially trained in using sophisticated imaging technology to guide treatment and surgical techniques to provide quality care with excellent results.
The Vein Center at Central DuPage Hospital is dedicated to practicing evidence-based medicine that incorporates the latest scientific evidence, knowledge and clinical expertise into the care of patients with vein issues. Our full service Vein Center is staffed by three board certified vascular surgeons, three board certified interventional radiologists, a dedicated advanced practice nurse, four certified vascular sonographers and several staff nurses and patient service representatives. We have been involved in minimally invasive treatments for varicose veins for more than 15 years. We perform both office consultations and minimally invasive vein treatments in both Central DuPage Hospital and Delnor Hospital offices and on occasion, if more appropriate, we perform open surgical treatments at Central DuPage and Delnor hospitals.
Our team of experts provides evaluation and treatment for a variety of vein related complaints. These include: varicose veins, spider veins, vein related leg pain, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), vein related pelvic discomfort (pelvic congestion syndrome) and vascular malformations. Our imaging expertise allows us to treat most patients without surgery, using minimally invasive techniques such as endovenous laser vein ablation, microphlebectomy, and sclerotherapy.
