Modifications and Hearing Impairment Services
For individuals with disabilities, Northwestern Medicine provides reasonable modifications and appropriate auxiliary aids and services, including qualified sign language interpreters and information in alternate formats, such as braille or large print.
These services are provided free of charge and in a timely manner, when necessary to ensure accessibility and an equal opportunity to participate.
Interpreter and Language Services
For people with limited English proficiency, Northwestern Medicine provides language assistance services, including electronic and written translated documents and oral interpretation. If you or a companion is deaf or hard of hearing, or prefers a language other than English, Northwestern Medicine will provide appropriate communication aids available in Spanish, Polish, Arabic, Gujarati, Mandarin-Chinese, Urdu, Russian, Cantonese Chinese, Vietnamese, Ukrainian, Korean, Burmese, Hindi, Farsi, Lithuanian.
These services are provided free of charge and in a timely manner, when such services are a reasonable step to provide meaningful access.
